Sir Henry Vernon of Tong was born 1441 to William de Vernon (c1421-1467) and Margaret Swinfen (c1425-c1471) and died 13 April 1515 of unspecified causes. He married Anne Talbot (c1445-1494) 6 October 1466 JL .
Governor and treasurer to Prince Arthur, eldest son and heir apparent to Henry VII. There is a tradition that the Prince frequently lived with Sir Henry at Haddon, where there was an apartment called the Prince's Chamber, with his arms cut in several places.[1]
