Hester Griswold is the daughter of Hester Drake, who is the daughter of Mary Wolcott, who is the sister of Simon Wolcott, whose son Roger is a governor of Connecticut, whose son Oliver is a signer of the Declaration of Independence. She was a 2nd cousin to Roger.
