- "Hugo Castrinovi dominus" confirmed donations to the monastery of Saint-Vincent, with the consent of "uxore mea Alberedi et matre mea senior iam detenta Mabilia et filiis meis Hugone, Gervasio et Galeranno", by charter dated 1132[2301].

- Orderic Vitalis records a revolt, apparently in Normandy in Sept 1123 against the rule of Anglo-Norman King Henry I of England, by four brothers-in-law : Waleran de Beaumont, 1st Earl of Worcester (1104-1166), Hugues de Montfort, William II Lovel d'Ivry (c1095-1163) and Hugh II de Chateauneuf (1098-1169). This revolt was decisively defeated at the Battle of Bourgtheroulde fought on 26-Mar-1124 near Roeun, Normandy.
