Ion Bogdan was born circa 1550 in Moldavia, Romania and died circa 1607 Moldavia, Romania of unspecified causes.
Ion Bogdan was mare sluger from cca.1574 to 1591 and again from 20 June 1598 to 10 July 1599. He was promoted vornic in 10 July 1599 holding this position till his death.
He was owner of the estates of Românești and Colăcești.
He married Tudora, daughter of Cârste Ivul. Her dowry were the estates of Ivești and Negrilești, at that time in the former Tutova County.
