Isaac Hale was born 21 March 1763 in Waterbury, New Haven County, Connecticut to Reuben Hale (1736-1788) and Diantha Ward (1741-1771) and died 11 January 1839 Harmony, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania of unspecified causes. He married Elizabeth Lewis (1767-1842) 20 September 1790 in Wells, Rutland County, Vermont.

Biography

Isaac Hale, Sr. - Farmer, hunter, innkeeper. Born in Waterbury, New Haven County, Connecticut. Son of Reuben Hale and Diantha Ward. Member of Methodist church.6 Moved to Wells, Albany Co., New York (later in Rutland Co., Vermont), ca. 1771, to live with maternal grandfather, Arah Ward. Served in Revolutionary War, beginning 1780. Married Elizabeth Lewis, 20 Sept. 1790, in Wells. Moved to Willingborough Township (later in Harmony), Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, 1791. Likely died at Harmony (later in Oakland).
