Lt Isaac Little, Sr. was born circa 1646 in Plymouth Colony, Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts to Thomas Little (1608-1672) and Anna Warren (1612-1675) and died 24 November 1699 Marshfield, Plymouth County, Massachusetts of unspecified causes. He married Bethiah Thomas (1650-1718) 1673 in Marshfield, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
Biography
Lt Isaac Little was the son of Thomas Little (1608-1672) and Anna Warren (1612-1675), who are jointly listed on the Green Harbor Monument in Marshfield, Massachusetts. He married Bethiah (perhaps Thomas).
King Philip's War
He represented Marshfield in the General Court from 1685-1691 and served on the Council of War. His brother, Thomas Little, Jr., was killed by Indians during the King Philip's War (1675).
History of Marshfield, Vol. 1, p. 53: In preparation for King Philip's War, Isaac Little was appointed with two others to stand watch at one of three places in Marshfield, Massachusetts in 1675.
- p. 79 In 1681, the court at Marshfield established Isaac Little to be Lieut. of the military.
- p. 85 A Memo in town records states that Lieut. Little paid Nathaniel Thomas for powder, "bulletts", and for land granted him at Mattakeeset and that by order of the town of Marshfield, the said powder & bullets shall be kept at Lieut. Little's place for the town's use.
