Isaac Putnam was born in March 14, 1698 in Salem, Massachusetts to Edward Putnam and Mary Hale. He married Anna Fuller on December 20, 1720. On May 23, 1726, Issac bought 125 acres of land in Sutton, Massachusetts from John Hutchinson. This land bounded on Japtha Putnam's purchase. In December 1726, Issac bought 33 acres of the Davenport Farm, which adjoined his former purchase. He was of "Topsfield" when this last deed was drawn, but probably soon afterward settled on his purchase in Sutton. He was dismissed from the church in Salem Village to the church in Sutton, and was admitted there on February 1, 1730. His name does not appear in Sutton records after 1740, and it is not known that any of his posterity now live there. His son, Phineas, had the homestead in Sutton. Issac received ten acres of land from his father as listed in his will in 1747. Issac died in Sutton, Massachusetts in 1757.
