Israel Putnam was born 22 August 1699 in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts, United States to Benjamin Putnam (1664-1715) and Hannah (bef1686-aft1701) and died 12 November 1760 Bedford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States of unspecified causes. He married Sarah Bacon (1696-aft1763) 12 July 1722 in Billerica, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States.
Israel PUTNAM, often called "Deacon Israel," was born 22 August 1699 at Salem and baptized 27 August 1699 at the church in Danvers, a younger son of Captain Benjamin Putnam and his wife, Sarah (birth surname not confirmed). He was married to Sarah Bacon, a daughter of Jonathan Bacon (who later served in the General Court for Bedford). Sarah was born 25 December 1696 at Billerica and died after 1763. They married at Billerica on 12 July 1722. Israel died 12 November 1760, Bedford, Massachusetts.
