Ivan Ivanovich Korotopol was born 1305 to Ivan Yaroslavich of Ryazan (c1275-1327) and Vasilisa and died 1343 of unspecified causes. He married Agrippina Glebovna .

Biography
He inherited the Grand Principality of Ryazan in 1327 after has father's death, executed by Uzbek Khan in the Horde [1] .
In 1333, the princes of Ryazan went with Ivan Kalita to Veliky Novgorod .
In 1339 Ivan Korotopol went to the Golden Horde. In 1340, on the way back, Ivan escorted the Temnik Tovlubiya sent by Uzbek Khan to punish the Prince of Smolensk Ivan Aleksandrovich. On the way, he met his cousin, Aleksandr Mikhailovich of Pronsk, who was taking the tribute to the Golden Horde, robbed him, brought him to Pereyaslavl-Ryazansky and killed him there, and then, by order of Uzbek Khan went to Smolensk, where Ivan Aleksandrovich was ruling, refusing to pay the Tatar ransom.
In 1342, Aleksandr's son, Yaroslav-Dmitri , came from the Golden Horde with an Tatar army and envoy Kindyak and laid siege to Pereyaslavl: Ivan Ivanovich Korotopol fought off the besiegers all day, “and ran out during the night” and Yaroslav took the throne of the Great Principality of Ryazan
In 1343, Ivan Korotopol was killed. It is not known where, by whom and how
The Illustrated Chronicle of Ivan the Terrible states
That year Prince Ivan Ivanovich Korotopol of Ryazan was murdered. Since he killed his brother Aleksandr Mikhailovich of Pronsk, he drank the cup himself: he was tried by the same court, and the same measure was measured to him.
