Ivan Yuryevich Rurik of Kursk was born circa 1109 to Yuri I Vladimirovich Dolgoruky of Kiev (c1090-1157) and Anna of Cumania (c1092-c1135) and died 24 February 1147 Koltesk, Kashira Rayon, Moscow Oblast, Russia of unspecified causes.
Ivan Yurievich (died 24 February 1147, Koltesk) - Prince of Rostov-Suzdal, the second son of Yuri Vladimirovich Dolgoruky from his marriage to Anna of Cumania the daughter of Polovtsian Ayub Khan.
Biography
The first mention of Ivan is given under 1146, when Yuri Dolgoruky and Svyatoslav Olgovich agreed on mutual assistance and alliance, and one of the conditions was the gift to Ivan Kursk and Pomeriye , which in 1135 the Grand Duke Yaropolk Vladimirovich returned Vsevolod Olegovich .
In the fall of 1146 Yuri Dolgoruky sent Ivan to his ally the northern Prince Svyatoslav Olegovich.

At the same time Ivan is seriously ill, why Svyatoslav did not leave the Koltesk.
Unable to recover from the disease, Ivan died on February 24, 1147 in Koltesk on the day of the acquisition of the head of John the Baptist, the patron saint of heaven [2]. Brothers Boris and Gleb sent the body to Suzdal.
