Jánossomorja (German: Sankt-Johann, Croatian: Šomierja) is a town in Győr-Moson-Sopron county in northwestern Hungary.

The village was first created by merging the former separate village of Mosonszentpéter (German: Sankt-Peter) into the village of Mosonszentjános (German: Sankt-Johann) in 1950.

In 1970 the village of Mosonszentjános was merged with the former separate village of Pusztasomorja (German: Wüstsommerein) to create the present day settlement of Jánossomorja
