He married Sarah E (1856-) .
THE FREMONT COUNTY HERALD. January 6, 1927. "HAMBURG CITIZEN CALLED". -- Jake Hydinger died at his home in Hamburg Christmas morning after an illness lasting several months. Mr. Hydinger had been confined to his home by sickness of a linering nature to which the grim reaper came to ease his suffering body. He was one of the pioneeer settlers of this community, and for many years was a moving spirit in the town. He held many positions of trust, being councilman and a member of the school board for several terms.
During the last twenty-five years he has been retired, but he took an active interest in his farming enterprises. When he first came to Hamburg, he made many trips across the plains with freighters, and knew the hardships of pioneer life. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs.Howard Colon, one son, Henry Hydinger, two brothers, William of Hamburg and Joseph of Wheeling, West Virginia and one sister, Mrs. Louise King of Wheeling, West Virginia. Funeral services were held Monday at the St. Mary's Catholic church, conducted by the Rev. Father O'Donnell, Requiem High Mass service. Interment was in the Hamburg cemetery.
