Arbuthnot (1848-1889) and Sallie Kelley (c1848-) and died 2 December 1964 Placer, Placer County, California, United States of unspecified causes. He married Harriet (Hattie) Carrie Tache (1887-1951) 28 December 1912 in Livingston, Montana, United States.
Biography details
James ("Jimmy") George Arbuthnot (born 31 December 1883; died 2 December 1964) was the head college wrestling coach of the Oregon State Beavers wrestling team at Oregon State University from 1911–1917 and in 1920. In eight seasons of coaching at OSU, he compiled a 10-3-3 dual meet record and won 5 conference championships.[1]
He was the athletic director 1906 - 1910.[2]
He had a bulldog which was unofficial mascot of the University.
