Biography
James Hamilton, 3rd Marquess of Hamilton, 1st Duke of Hamilton, was born 19 June 1606 to James Hamilton, 2nd Marquess of Hamilton (1589-1625) and Anne Cuninghame (bef1588-1647) and died 9 March 1649 of execution by decapitation. He married Margaret Feilding (c1613-1638) 16 June 1622 .
