James Hill was born 1763 in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States and died 1862 Roundhead Township, Hardin County, Ohio, United States of unspecified causes. He married Sarah Tidd (1774-1851) 25 March 1797 .
James Hill was born in 1763 in Pennsylvania. He married Sarah 'Sallie' Tidd and moved with his father-in-law Martin Tidd to Ohio, then known as the Northwest Territory. They were among the first settlers of Youngstown, Ohio, arrving in 1797. A few years later the group moved north to what is now Kinsman.
