James Hobart was born 8 September 1789 in Peeling, Grafton County, New Hampshire, United States to William Hobart (1742-1821) and Sarah Taylor (1757-) and died 1813 United States of unspecified causes. He married Experience Wheeler (1792-1852) 17 November 1808 in Peeling, Grafton County, New Hampshire.
James Hobart probably died in the War of 1812.
