James Warby was born 15 November 1822 in Hythe, Kent, England, United Kingdom to James Warby (1785-1858) and Mary Wood (1787-1885) and died 14 December 1906 Manila, Daggett County, Utah, United States of unspecified causes. He married Mary Blanch (1828-1915) 10 March 1846 in St James, Morpeth, New South Wales, Australia.
It seems that he arrived in New South Wales on the Neptune, 27 Sep 1839 with his parents and siblings.
He was baptised into the LDS Church on 28 June 1853.
With his wife and family, he sailed from New South Wales on 22 March 1854, on the Julia Ann, arriving in San Pedro, California on 12 June 1854.
