Obituary
After a severe illness extending over the past twelve months, Mrs. Jane Eliza Horwood, of Rosehill-street, Parramatta South, passed away to her long rest. She was close upon 82 years of age, and was one of the oldest residents of the district, being a native of Seven Hills. Her husband, the late Mr. Charles Elton Horwood, predeceased her by 21 years. She leaves five sons and two daughters, namely, Messrs. Charles William Horwood, Seven Hills; Daniel Purdy, Baulkham Hills; Samuel Robert, George Henry, and Victor, Parramatta; and Mrs. Willmore, Petersham, and Mrs. Christie, Rosehill-street, Parramatta. The funeral took place on Thursday, the cortege passing through Baulkham Hills and Seven Hills on route to Prospect cemetery. The remains were laid to rest alongside those of her husband, the Revs. W. A. O'Neill and Harris-Walker conducting the service in the church and at the graveside.
