Obituary

The death took place in the Wagga District Hospital yesterday of a well known and very highly respected resident of the Umbango district for many years in Mrs. Jane Hecuba O'Keeffe, at the age of 60 years following a long illness. She was the wife of Mr. William Edward O'Keeffe of Umbango and she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Butterfield of Oberne. She was born at sea over 60 years ago when her when parents were coming to Australia from England on the ship Hecuba. She was christened at sea. Mrs. O'Keeffe was twice married, first to Mr. Henry Harvey, of Oberne, and by that marriage she leaves three sons and seven daughters: Messr. John Francis Harvey, Arthur M. Harvey, aud Stephen Norman Harvey and Mrs. Thomas Stanton, of Adelong, Mrs. Daniel Cheney of Humula, Mrs. Michael Doyle of Forbes, Mrs. James Snellings of Melbourne, Mrs. Harry Cheney and Mrs. William Cheney, both of Humula, and Mrs. Allan M.'Pherson of Coreinbob. By the second, she leaves a daughter. Her husband survives and there is a large number of grand-children.

The funeral will leave the Wagga District Hospital tomorrow at 12 o'clock for the Catholic portion of the Humula cemetery, reaching Humula at 3 o'clock.
