Jane Jolley was born 1695 in Suffolk, England, United Kingdom to Raynold Jolly (c1670-1703) and Mary Barker (c1670-1734) and died 18 June 1766 Mendlesham, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom of unspecified causes. She married Thomas King (1690-1753) 30 April 1719 in Stoke-by-Nayland, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom.
Jane Jolley was born in Suffolk in 1695. She was baptised in 1695 in Stratford St Mary, Suffolk. Her parents were Raynold and Mary Jolly (nee Barker).
It should be noted that the name 'Jolly' is often found with alternative spellings, such as 'Jolley' which is found on Jane's marriage record.
Marriage
Jane married on the 30th April 1719 at Stoke-by-Nayland in Suffolk to Thomas King. Thomas was the son of Matthew and Anne King (nee Smith), who came from the Stoke-by-Nayland area. Thomas was 29 years old at the time and Jane was 24.
The couple settled in Stoke-by-Nayland and had two known children there.
Death of Husband
Jane's husband Thomas was buried on 11th October 1753 in Stoke-by-Nayland. Jane would outlive him by 13 years.
Death
There is a burial of a Jane King on 18th June 1766 at Mendlesham in Suffolk. The burial record lists her as 'wife of Thomas'. This seems to indicate that the woman buried was not a widow at the time of her death, so I am uncertain if this entry refers to our Jane or not. Further investigation is required.
