Biography
Jeffrey Guy Allred was born 17 June 1954 in Preston, Franklin County, Idaho, United States to Jack Dean Allred (1927-2010) and Thelma Drury (1927-2006) and died 17 June 2013 Preston, Franklin County, Idaho, United States of unspecified causes. He married Mary Ellen Swan 3 November 1977 in Manti Utah Temple, Sanpete County, Utah.
At age 59, he passed away Monday, June 17, 2013, at the Franklin County Medical Center due to natural causes.
Jeff attended and graduated from Preston High School, where he participated in FFA, wrestling, and football. Jeff served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Cebu Philippines mission. Jeff started working for Utah Power and Light in 1978. At the time of his death, he was working as the Logistics Lead for the Preston Hub of Rocky Mountain Power.
Scouting Heritage
Scouting was an important part of Jeff's life. As a youth, he served as camp counselor at Hull Valley, Camp Hunt, and Camp Wilderness. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout and was also recipient of the Silver Beaver award. As an adult, Jeff has served as ScoutMaster, Varsity Coach and Cub Scout den leader. At the time of his death Jeff was serving on the Franklin District Varsity Staff and on the Eagle Board.
Marriage and Family
Jeff married Mary Ellen Swann in the Manti Temple in Sanpete County, Utah on Nov. 3, 1977. They were blessed with six children.
