Jemima Angell Young was born 4 October 1804 in Camden, Oneida County, New York, United States to James Williams Angell (1776-1851) and Phebe Ann Morton (1786-1854) and died 16 July 1869 Wanship, Summit County, Utah, United States of unspecified causes. She married Valentine W. Young (c1800-1843) 1826 in Rhode Island, United States. She married William Stringham 1844 in Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois, United States. She married Brigham Young (1801-1877) 28 February 1846 in Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois, United States.

Her first husband was Valentine W. Young of Rhode Island. The couple moved to New York, where they joined the Mormon Church, and then to Kirtland, Ohio. Valentine died about 1843. In 1844, Jemima married William Stringham in Nauvoo, Illinois. In 1846 she was sealed to Mormon leader Brigham Young as one of his plural wives, along with her sister, Mary Ann Angell (1808-1882) and mother Phebe Ann Morton (1786-1854). She died in Wanship, Utah, in 1869. Her burial place is uncertain.
