John Allred's Last Will

In the name of God Amen, I John Alredd of Pendleton in the Parish of Eccles in the countye of Lancashire husbandman beinge sicke in bodye but in good and perfect memorye thanks be to god do Institute and ordeyne this my last will and testament in manner and forme as followeth Principally I comyit my soule into the hands of Almightie god my maker, trusting to be saved by the meritts of Jesus Christ my Savior and my bodie to the earth to be burried in the parish churchyard of Eccles and as for worldle goods which god hath blessed me withall in manner and Forme following. First I give and assigne all my wholle livinge to my sonne William Alred and all my land in Salford to him and his heirs for ever and also all bills bonds and specie coins of debts due to me to my sonne William Also and that he discharge all that I owe am indebted he beinge to enter of the halfe of his livinge at the Feast of Michaell The archangell nexte And two parts of my land in Salford and the other halfe of my livinge to my wyffe Anne and duringe her lyffe and widowhood to have use of Salford also During her lyffe and after the decease of my wyffe he shall [dark] and livinge into his hands And as for my other goods and cattell I give wholly to my wyffe Anne and my daughter Katherine And also I ordene and make my sonne William Allred Exeutor of this my last will and testament trusting he will see the same Fullfilled This my last will made the Fourtenth daye of Marche in the yeare of our Lord god one Thousand sixe hundereth thirtie two
