John Appleton was born 17 November 1622 in Little Waldingfield, Suffolk, England to Samuel Appleton (1586-1670) and Judith Everard (1587-1633) and died 4 November 1699 Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts of unspecified causes. He married Pricilla Glover (1634-1697) 3 October 1651 in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts.
John came to America in 1635 with his parents Samuel and Judith (Everard) Appleton. He was a soldier in the King Phillip's War.
King Philip's War

King Philip's War (1675-1678) was an armed conflict between Native American inhabitants of present-day New England and English colonists and their Native American allies. The war continued in the most northern reaches of New England until the signing of the Treaty of Casco Bay in April 1678.
