This error was apparently taken from Source:Peck, Thomas Bellows. Bellows Genealogy or John Bellows, the Boy Emigrant of 1635 and His Descendants, p. 6. Source:White, Almira Larkin. White Family Quarterly, Vol. 1, p. 74, reports that Mr. Peck wrote a letter, after his Bellows Genealogy was published, noting that the will of John Bellows, 3d, names his wife Sarah, showing that his pairing was backwards. A look at the relative birth dates and martial statuses of Mary (Hosmer) Wheeler and Sarah Johnson supports this reversal.
