John F. Pickard was born on September 20, 1832 in Ellery, New York to Abraham J. Pickard and Sally Ann Waite. He married first to Valona Eliza Ames. He married secondly to Emaline Klock on September 20, 1856
John died at an early hour Wednesday at the home of his daughter Mrs. Mary Barber, between the villages of Westfield and Ripley. He had spent most of his life in the Town of Ellery, having taken up his residence with his only daughter, a few months before his death. The funeral was be held from the church on Pickard Street in the Town of Ellery, Thursday at 2 p.m.
