John Fitzroy Knight was born 1881 in Patricks Plain, New South Wales, Australia to Henry Knight (1853-1921) and Ellen Gardner (c1852-1939) and died 28 February 1952 Singleton, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Mary Ann Lambkin (1881-1954) 1904 in Singleton, New South Wales, Australia.

Obituary
A member of a family of ten brothers and sisters, whose ages total 669 years, passed away at his home at Broke on the 28th February last at the age of 70. He was Mr. John Fitzroy Knight, who was interred at the Church of England cemetery after a service at All Saints' Church, Singleton, at 11 o'clock on the 29th February. The late Mr. Knight was born at Scott's Flat and was educated at Roughit School. He lived at Lower Rouchel for a time before he bought one of the first farms to be made available from the Fordwich Estate at Broke 36 years ago. The late Mr. Knight was a warden of the Church of England at Broke for many years, until illness brought about his retirement.
Pall-bearers at the funeral were Messrs T. Knight (brother), Reg and Harry Knight (nephews), and Noel Knight (grandson).
Deceased leaves a wife, Mary Ann, two daughters, Gladys (Mrs. A. F. Martin, of Pokolbin), and Mrs. C. Bates (of Warkworth); also one son, Les (G. Knight, of Allandale), 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Knight is survived by four brothers and five sisters, viz., Mrs. W. Lambkins, aged 79 (Lower Belford), Mrs. H. Knight, aged 77 (Quirindi), Mr. W. J. Knight, aged 75 (Glennie's Ck.), Mrs. E. Everest, aged 68 (Aberdeen), Mrs. G. Lambkins, aged 66 (Broke); Mr. G. Knight, aged 63 (Lower Rouchel); Mrs. J. Vine, aged 59 (Merriwa), Mrs. D. Wilson, aged 57 (Aberdeen), and Mr. T. Knight, aged 55 (Muswellbrook).
