Biography
Capt. John Glover was born 12 August 1600 in Rainhill, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom to Thomas Glover (1569-1619) and Margaret Deane (1572-1654) and died 12 November 1653 Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States of unspecified causes. He married Anna Smith (1605-1670) 1625 .
1630: Winthrop Fleet Migration

This family were some of the 700+ Passengers of the Winthrop Fleet which sailed from England to settle the Massachusetts Bay Colony at Salem in 1630 under the guidance of Gov. John Winthrop. It is reported that during the first year nearly 200 of these colonists died and another 100 returned to England. The remaining settlers either stayed in Salem or moved on to Boston or Watertown.

- 1653 - Assistant of the General Court of Massachusetts
- 1637 - Surety for Mr. Aspinwall
- 1641 - Chosen to be a magistrate, surveyor of highways and appointed Clerk of the Writs at Dorchester.
- 1648 - Built a ferry on the Neponsett River to cross between to cross between Dorchester and Braintree, Massachusetts.
