1676 Rehoboth Battle[]
Michael Pierce (c1617-1676) is most famous for being the leader of that colonial force having suffered the greatest defeat at the hands of Native Americans during the 17th Century colonial New England in an event of King Philip's War known as Rehoboth Fight of 1676 or Pierce Battle. Over 50 men (including John Low) of the Plymouth Colony militia plus a dozen indian allies were killed by a superior indian force. Battle date 26 Mar 1676.
