Biography
Dr. John Rodman, Jr. was an educated / practicing physician. Born in Barbados where his father ran a plantation, he came to Newport, Rhode Island and several years later moved to Block Island. However due to the raids by French vessels of war and privateers, removed to Flushing, New York in Long Island about 1691.
