Joseph I the Reformer de Bragança of Portugal, King of Portugal, King of the Algarves, was born 6 June 1714 in Lisbon, Portugal to John V of Portugal (1689-1750) and Maria Anne Josepha of Austria (1683-1754) and died 24 June 1777 Sintra, Lisbon District, Lisbon Region, Portugal of unspecified causes. He married Mariana Victoria of Spain (1718-1781) 19 January 1729 in Elvas, Alentejo Region, Portugal.
