Joseph Lee was born 15 February 1901 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States to Joseph Lee (1862-1937) and Margaret Copley Cabot (1866-1920) and died 6 November 1991 Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States of unspecified causes. He married Kathleen Nolan (1904-1951) 14 September 1934 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States. He married Ariel Foley (c1934-) May 1960 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States.
He graduated from Harvard College in 1922 and then attended the University of Texas. After graduating, Lee worked on a ranch in Wyoming, the Fore River Shipyard in Massachusetts, and was a reporter for the Boston Post. He also worked for fourteen years as a freelance writer. During World War I he served in the United States Marines. He served ten terms on the Boston School Committee. [Wikipedia]
