Josephine Rotch Bigelow was born 3 July 1908 in New Bedford, Bristol County, Massachusetts, United States to Arthur Grinnell Rotch (1880-1962) and Helen Gilman Ludington (1882-1959) and died 10 December 1929 Manhattan, New York County, New York, United States of unspecified causes. She married Albert Smith Bigelow (1906-1993) 1929 .
Personal life
Bigelow married his first wife, Josephine Rotch, the daughter of Arthur and Helen (née Ludington) Rotch, on June 21, 1929. She was a debutante of 1927 and was a member of the Junior League and Vincent Club of Boston.[1] She, however, had resumed her affair with Harry Crosby within two months of their marriage, and then, on 10 December that year she and Crosby were found dead in an apparent murder suicide.[2][3]
