The fact that his wife called herself "Madge" is borne out by this profile from MyHeritage: https://www.myheritage.com/FP/genealogy-search-ppc.php?type=&action=person&siteId=295991921&indId=1000093&origin=profile. It shows a thumbnail sketch of the 1920 census calling her "Madge Cox" (though Mocavo can't find any Madge Cox or any Margaret Cox (with spouse last name Cox) in that census). The full record includes: "Access G. Burns's family tree with 1,043 additional people and 233 photos". The discrepancy in birth years for William may simply be a newspaper blunder. Everyhing else the paper said about William matches (more or less) with what User:KellyAndrewCox put on Community Central. So we will equate the two Williams but leave the birth date and place queried.

Some of that does not fit with the alleged existence of William Brian Cox, born 1931!
