Josias Winslow was born 11 February 1606 in Droitwich, Worcestershire, England, United Kingdom to Edward Winslow (1560-1620) and Magdelene Oliver (1566-1631) and died 1 December 1674 Marshfield, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States of unspecified causes. He married Margaret Bourne (1615-1683) 1636 in Marshfield, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States.
Josias (or Josiah) Winslow - brother of Mayflower pilgrim Edward Winslow (1595-1655). Note: Many genealogists confuse this person with his nephew, Josiah Winslow (1628-1680), who was later the last governor of Plymouth Colony.
This Josias immigrated to Plymouth Colony shortly after the Mayflower. Josiah was in Plymouth in 1631. He may have arrived on the White Angel at Saco in June 1631. Josiah resided in Scituate, then removed to Marshfield where he served as town clerk from 1646 until his death.
