Judith Cynthia Aline Keppel was born 18 August 1942 in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England, United Kingdom to Walter Arnold Crispian Keppel (1914-1986) and Aline Lucy Harington (1918-2007) . She married Desmond Leon Corcoran (bef1964-) 2 April 1964 . She married Neil H Shand (bef1985-) 1985 .
She was the first one-million-pound winner on the television game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
in the United Kingdom. She is also the only woman in the United Kingdom to have won it and also the first person to win a million pounds or more on a British television game show. She has appeared on the BBC Two quiz show Eggheads since 2003.
