Robin Patterson's "Grannie".

The Wellington Presbyterial Association of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand recorded the following Memoriam Minute:

Mrs W. A. Patterson of Khandallah, Wellington, passed away at the end of 1958. Born in Edinburgh, she was one of 6 daughters of Professor M[a]cGregor of New College. The Family came to New Zealand in 1881 and commenced work for the Church in Otago. Mrs. Patterson grew up during the early days of Missionary enterp[r]ise in the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand and ever took a deep interest in the work on the Mission Field. [H]er sister and her daughter both went to India as Missionaries.
Mrs. Patterson became Dominion Secretary of P.W.M.U. during 1933-1935 and later served as Dominion Letter Secretary. These positions she filled with ability and distinction.
Her knowledge was deep and dependable and was born of reading, study and prayer.
As a Branch Officer, a leader of a Prayer group at Conference or in her own congregation, Mrs. Patterson was an example of a Christian woman. We mourn her passing but thank God for her life and work and pray for the comforting [of] her loved ones.
