The Little Rock-North Little Rock, AR Combined Statistical Area comprises ten counties in central Arkansas. The Combined Statistical Area consists of the Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway Metropolitan Statistical Area, Pine Bluff Metropolitan Statistical Area, and the Searcy Micropolitan Area. The 2012 census estimate of the CSA had a population of 893,610 and the 2000 census had 785,024 residents. The counties of Jefferson, Lincoln, Cleveland and White were added to the larger delineated Combined area which the census bureau started using in 2003. The Little Rock Metropolitan area at that time consisted of four counties as Perry and Grant were added to the core area also in 2003. The Little Rock-North Little Rock Combined Statistical area is the 27nd largest in the South.
The median income for a household in the CSA was $35,301, and the median income for a family was $41,804. Males had a median income of $31,192 versus $22,347 for females. The per capita income for the CSA was $16,898.
