The Logan Utah Temple (formerly the Logan Temple) is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) in Logan, Utah. Completed in 1877, it was the church's forth temple completed, but the second in Utah, following the migration west of members from Nauvoo, Illinois, following the death of the church's founder, Joseph Smith (1805-1844).
Historical Background[]

The Logan Utah Temple was the fourth temple built by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was first dedicated on May 17, 1884, by John Taylor, the third president of the Church. Construction began in 1877 and took seven years to complete.
Like other early temples, its construction was a remarkable feat accomplished by early Latter-day Saint pioneers. They faced many difficulties, including harsh weather and limited resources, but their dedication ensured its completion.
Architectural Style[]
The temple's design includes Gothic, Romanesque, and French Second Empire architectural elements. Its striking design features beautiful stonework and majestic towers. Over the years, the Logan Temple has seen several renovations to ensure it remains a functional and beautiful place of worship. It was extensively renovated and rededicated in 1979.
Spiritual Significance[]
The temple is a sacred place where essential ordinances are performed, including marriages and endowments. It’s a place where members can feel a deep connection to God and their ancestors. It has served as a spiritual anchor for members in the Cache Valley and surrounding areas, fostering a sense of community and shared faith.
Today the Logan Temple continues to be a hub of spiritual activity for Latter-day Saints, offering a peaceful retreat where members can perform sacred ordinances and seek personal revelation.

Temple presidents are called to oversee all activities performed at the temple. They serve voluntarily, usually for a period of several years. Following is a list of the current and former presidents of the St. George Utah Temple.
