Margaret Philips was born 26 May 1800 in Kent, Putnam County, New York to Joseph Phillips (1762-1812) and Sarah Farrington (-1860) and died 1890 Salt Lake County, Utah of unspecified causes. She married Moses Oysterbanks (1801-1845) 1821 in Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. She married David Fullmer (1803-1879) 19 January 1846 in Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois. She married Phinehas Richards (1788-1874) 29 February 1848 in Winter Quarters, Douglas County, Nebraska.

1st Marriage: Oysterbanks
Her first marriage was to Moses Oysterbanks (1801-1845). They had three children before he died. Sometime between 1834 and 1845 they joined the Mormon Church and moved to their main base in Nauvoo IL where Moses died.

2nd Marriage: Fullmer
After having been married for fourteen years to Rhoda Marvin, David Fullmer (1803-1879) entered into polygamist marriages with Margaret Phillips and her daughter, Sarah Oysterbanks, in Nauvoo. On 19 January 1846, all three wives were sealed to him, for eternity, in the then-newly completed Nauvoo Temple.
Fullmer divorced Margaret Phillips in 1848, without the two having had any known children. With his other two wives, however, Fullmer had twenty children altogether: eleven with Rhoda Marvin, and nine with Sarah Oysterbanks.
3rd Marriage: Richards
Her third marriage was also a polygamous union to Phinehas Richards (1788-1874) at Winter Quarters on leap day, 1848. They apparently also divorced shortly afterwards with no children.
