Marie Dorothea Kettler von Kurland was born 2 August 1684 in Mitau, Latvia to Friedrich II. Kasimir Kettler von Kurland (1650-1698) and Sophie Amalie von Nassau-Siegen (1650-1688) and died 17 January 1743 Berlin, Germany of unspecified causes. She married Albrecht Friedrich von Brandenburg-Schwedt (1672-1731) 31 October 1703 in Schloß Charlottenburg, Berlin, Germany.
