Obituary
The death occurred on Friday of Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Long at her late residence, Sydney Road, Raglan. Deceased was the widow of Mr. George Long, who died four years ago. She was 82 years of ago and had been ailing for some time. Mrs. Long was born at Kelso and had lived in the district all her life. She is survived by four sons, Messrs. George (Ryde), William and Albert (Bathurst) and Fred (Raglan); also by three daughters Alice (Mrs. King) Toowoomba, Lillian (Mrs. Musgrave) Muswellbrook and Gertie (Mrs. Aitkenhead) of Five Dock; and by a large number of grand and great granchildren. Her funeral took place on Saturday afternoon moving from deceased's late residence for the Holy Trinity Church Kelso where a service was conducted by the Rev. O'Ball. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends. The pall bearers were four grandsons, Les, Ernest, Keith and Raymond Long. Stan McGuinn had charge of the funeral arrangements. Many floral tributes were received.
