Obituary
The death occurred at Goulburn on Thursday last of Mrs. Mary Ann Bunker, formerly of Crookwell, who had resided with her daughter Mrs. W. T. Irving, now of Goulburn, for the past 21 years. The deceased lady was 89 years of age. She was born in Watford, England, in 1836, and came to Australia in 1848. She had resided in this locality ever since. The late Mrs. Bunker was well known and respected in the Crookwell district. She was the widow of Mr. Ephraim Bunker, who was a local preacher of the Methodist Connexion for many years and who predeceased her by over 37 years. She leaves 3 sons and 4 daughters, Mr. William Bunker, Wingello; Caleb, Marrickvlle; David, Crookwell, and Mesdames G. Hill, Mittagong; H. Sims, Milson's Point; A. Werritt, Picton; M. Moore, Campbelltown; W. Irving, Goulburn. There are forty grand-children, fifty-one great grand-children and one great great grandchild. The remains were conveyed by motor hearse from Goulburn to Crookwell, and, after a short service in the Methodist Church, were interred in that portion of the general cemetery, by the side of her late husband.
