Mary Catherine Barrett was born 30 April 1825 in Ribchester, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom to John Barrett (1789-1873) and Ellen Simpson (1784-1875) and died 15 February 1909 Brownsville, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. She married Joseph Marceau (1806-1883) 9 October 1844 in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia.
She arrived in New South Wales on 27 September 1827 on the Harmony, with her convict mother.
