t is believed Mary HAYS is the daughter of Edmond HAYS II and his wife Mary SMITH of Hartford County, Maryland. Popular theory and family legend says Solomon's wife was named Mary Hays. However; according to Linda Allred Cooper no one has ever documented what Mary's surname really was.
