Matilda Brown was born 28 July 1802 to Sylvanus Brown (1776-1866) and Sarah Spaulding (1782-1812) and died 30 May 1881 Woodstock, McHenry County, Illinois, United States of unspecified causes. She married Seth Warren Ingalls (1798-1834) 1820 . She married Charles Nicholas Brott (1779-1856) 4 March 1835 in Lake County, Ohio, United States.
Converts to Mormonism
Records of Zion's Camp (1834) list Matilda's husband, Seth Warren Ingalls (1798-1834), as a member of the newly formed Church of Christ (Latter-day Saints) and as a member of this militia expedition to rescue those who lost property to the mobs in Missouri. Warren died there from a cholera epidemic and is listed on their monument.
Participant listed as Warren S Ingalls, he died on 30 June 1834 from the cholera epidemic.
