Matilda Johnston Hall was born circa 1809 in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, Kentucky to Daniel Johnston (1782-1816) and Sarah Bush (1788-1869) and died 20 February 1878 Charleston, Coles County, Illinois of unspecified causes. She married Squire Levi Hall (1805-1851) 14 September 1826 in Spencer County, Indiana.
Family Heritage
When she was 9 years old her widowed mother, Sarah Bush (1788-1869), married the father of future US President Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865) and their two families merge together.
Her husband, Squire Levi Hall (1805-1851), is also a cousin to Abraham's deceased naturaly mother, Nancy Hanks (1784-1818), sharing common ancestor Joseph Hanks (1725-1793).
