Maximilian Christoph von Degenfeld-Schonburg, Graf von Degenfeld-Schonburg, was born 24 February 1884 in Erdőszáda, Maramureș County, Romania to Christoph Emmerich Alexander von Degenfeld-Schonburg (1841-1922) and Teréz Wesselényi de Hadad (1860-1924) and died 16 May 1983 Munich, Bavaria, Germany of unspecified causes. He married Erzsébet Teleki de Szék (1896-1981) 29 April 1920 in Cluj-Napoca, Cluj County, Romania.
