Michael Brown was born circa 1775 in Pennsylvania, United States and died after 1846 Worth Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania, United States of unspecified causes. He married Elizabeth Elder (1788-aft1850) in Pennsylvania, United States.
Michael Brown was born in 1775 or 1776 in Pennsylvania. His Father is believed to have been John Brown, based on baptism records for three of Michael's siblings at Forks of the Bandywine Presbyterian Church, Chester County, PA. There may be other clues as to who his parents may be, based on the marriages of his children. Abram Brown married Lydia England and Robert Brown married Sarah England. Lydia and Sarah are both daughters of Isaac England and Dinah Moore. Isaac and Dinah have another daughter who married another Brown, whose father is Thomas Brown. It is a possibility that this Thomas may be related to Michael; he may in fact be his nephew. However, due to the lack of evidence, it is hard to determine.
Michael married Elizabeth Elder and they had several children. Michael is recorded to having owned 200 acres of land in Half Moon Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania, according to a list of taxpayers of 1819. Michael died April 2, 1846 and was buried on his farm in Half Moon Valley.
