She married William Farrington Cahoon (1813-1893) 17 January 1836 in Kirtland, Geauga County, Ohio.
Baptized in 1831 Vermont by her uncle, Jared Carter (1801-1849), a noteworthy missionary in the early years of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Cahoon by JS, 17 Jan. 1836, at Kirtland.7 Moved to Far West, Caldwell Co., Missouri, spring 1838; to Adam-ondi-Ahman, Daviess Co., Missouri, fall 1838; to Montrose, Lee Co., Iowa Territory, fall 1839; and to Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, spring 1842.8 Migrated to Salt Lake Valley, 1849.9 Died at Salt Lake City.10
